Culture of Nomadic Peoples of Central Asia

 (Samarkand - Uzbekistan)

    The International Scientific Conference, organized within the framework of the academic programme of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS), is devoted to the memory of the outstanding expert on Central Asia, Anatoly Maksimilanovich Mandelshtam.

    The main topics for discussion:

    • archaeology of Central Asia: antiquity and early medieval;
    • early nomadic peoples of Eurasia;
    • integration of archaeological and ethnographical researches;
    • spiritual culture and art of the peoples of Central Asia;
    • preservation of historical-cultural heritage of the Asian part of Eurasia;
    • newest methods of archaeological and ethnographical researches.

    This event is organized by the IICAS and is attended by about 30 specialists from Azerbaijan, France, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
