2009 Imperia Video Festival - International Festival of Digital Art Film

The 4th edition of the Imperia Video Festival will take place at Imperia, in Italy, from 14 to 18 April 2009.

The International Festival of Digital Art Film is devoted to short films, documentaries and animation.

There are four categories:

  • Professional: drama, documentary, animation
  • Amateur: full-length, short, documentary, animation, video photo album
  • International: short, documentary, animation
  • Special: documentaries on either tourism or wild-life.

There are two deadlines for registering the films:

  • 26 January 2009 for the Italian films 
  • 23 February 2009 for the international films

  • Points of the 1997 Declaration related to this topic:
    - Paragraph 18 : (...) New means of private funding, from major foundations to small companies, must be encouraged as supplementary sources of funds, particularly with a view to supporting the creation, the expression and the dissemination of contemporary works.
    - Paragraph 19 : Public and private funding sources are invited to respond favourably to requests made by artists in developing countries or countries in transition. UNESCO’s intervention is particularly necessary in order to identify and publicize existing opportunities for private funding of the arts worldwide.
