2011 – A new look at Africa!

© UNESCO

At the threshold of 2011, UNESCO rebuilds the bridge that links Brazil to Africa. As we launch The General History of Africa collection in Portuguese, we invite our partners to join us in rediscovering the richness of the shared history that unites Brazil and the African continent.

Season’s Greetings to all and may the New Year bring a wider appreciation of the African contribution to the formation of Brazil, a clearer recognition of the value of African culture to Brazilian diversity, a strengthening of the ties and cooperation between Brazil and Africa, and new educational developments to shed new light on ethnic-racial relations for the benefit of schools and society at large.
