The General History of Africa is translated into thirteen languages including three African languages (Kiswahili, Fulfulde, and Hausa).

The main edition is available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.

The abridged version is available in English, French, Kiswahili, Korean, Hausa and Peul.
