Climate change is an opportunity for positive social transformations. The event will explore these with a particular focus on success stories, social mobilizations, legal issues and global solidarity.



This event fits in the general framework of the upcoming UNFCCC’s Climate Conference to be held from 30 November to 11 December 2015 in Le Bourget, France.

In parallel to the debates, artists and musicians will contribute to the vision of how societies can re-imagine themselves in the face of climate change.

With the participation of :
- Erik Orsenna (writer, Member of the Académie Française)
- Francine Cousteau (President of The Cousteau Society)
- Jeffrey Sachs (special adviser to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon on the Millennium Development Goals and Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University)
- Thomas Pogge (German philosopher, Director of the Global Justice Programme and Leitner Professor of Philosophy and International Affairs at Yale University)
- JonOne (Artist who will perform while speakers are discussing)
- Global Challenges Youth Music Contest winners (GYMC is an online competition co-organized with the support of UNFCCC, by UNESCO MOST in partnership with the International Association for the Advancement of Innovative Approaches to Global Challenges, an NGO based in Austria). Their clips will be screened during the debate-show.

The show will also welcome guests from various backgrounds: explorers, film directors, economists, writers, sociologists and heads of great environmental foundations (to be confirmed) with a view to promoting a comprehensive approach to social transformations in the face of climate change.
