Examination of the report by Member States and other States Parties on measures taken in application of the Convention

In accordance with Article 16 of the 1970 Convention, States Parties shall, on dates determined by the General Conference of UNESCO, submit a report to UNESCO on the legislative and administrative provisions they have adopted and other actions taken in implementing the Convention. Such reports aim to illustrate the action taken to implement the Convention, as well as progress made and obstacles encountered.

Reports were received by the Secretariat in 1978, 1983, 1987, 1995, 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.

In October 2003, 32C/Resolution 38 of the 32nd General Conference of UNESCO had set the periodicity for reporting at a four-year interval.
