Community Multimedia Centers

Community multimedia centers offer a public dialogue space and basic business centre services within the premise of a local or community radio station. The "public space" or "business centre" is equipped with computers, photocopiers, internet connection, printing facilities and secretarial assistance to communities that are often located far from public transport and services. The immediate proximity of the radio station to the business centre facilitates interaction between the community and radio staff and creates an open passage of local voices and opinion on to the air.
