As major outcomes of UNESCO’s World Conferences on Arts Education (Lisbon 2006 and Seoul 2010), the Road Map for Arts Education and the Seoul Agenda: Goals for the Development of Arts Education were respectively produced.

The Road Map offers an important theoretical and practical framework that provides guidance for advancing the qualitative development and growth of arts education.

The Seoul Agenda serves as a plan of action that integrates the substance of the Road Map within a structure of three broad goals, each accompanied by a number of practical strategies and specific action items.
