Global Regional Centres of Expertise (RCE) Conference

© UNU-IAS

The United Nations University - Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) and RCE Okayama organized the 9th Global RCE Conference from 4 to 7 November in Okayama, Japan.

The conference reflected on the successes and challenges of the RCE movement, with a view to developing a post-2014 agenda linked to the new Global Action Programme on ESD. A major objective of the conference was to identify tangible ESD commitments that the RCE community can effectively implement beyond 2014.

Input and recommendations, coming out of the RCE conference discussions, were shared at the UNESCO World Conference on ESD from 10 to 12 November in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

RCE members – as well as those interested in becoming an RCE – were invited to attend the conference. For more information, please visit the RCE conference website or contact the Global RCE Service Centre (rceconference(at)unu.edu).
