Gestão escolar pública: desafios contemporâneos

© Vale

The Vale Foundation, in partnership with the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), has developed a school management course for public school directors in the city of Mangaratiba (RJ) within the Project Building Capacities and Promoting Integrated Territorial Development: Systematization of the Vale Foundation Experience, in cooperation with UNESCO. The course lasted 96 hours, and professionals who had more than 75% attendance received a UFRJ extension course certificate. This publication is the result of this partnership. It arose from the need to share the themes of the course with other school managers in order to broaden the discussion about the importance of democratic school management. The objetive of this publications is to contribute to the performance improvement of managers in their practices for developing conducive strategies to build a more welcoming, democratic and participatory public school.
