Global citizenship education: preparing learners for the challenges of the 21st century in Portuguese

© UNESCO

“This first UNESCO publication on Global Citizenship Education (GCEd) comes at a time when the international community is called to set a new development agenda, considering the implications of broader socioeconomic developments and emerging trends for education in an increasingly globalized and interconnected world. At this time, when the education community is urged to take steps in promoting peace, well-being, prosperity and sustainability, I hope that this new UNESCO publication will succeed in making the case for the importance of GCE and provide the necessary conceptual clarity and practical guidance for its effective implementation.” (Qian Tang, Ph.D., UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education)

Brasilia: UNESCO, 2015. 44 p., il. ISBN: 978-85-7652-200-3
