Global EFA Meeting, Paris, 21-23 November 2012
The 2012 Global EFA Meeting was organized at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris from 21 to 23 November 2012. The meeting brought together around 300 participants representing UNESCO Member States, EFA convening agencies, bilateral agencies, United Nations and regional organizations, civil society organizations, the private sector, research institutes and foundations. The meeting critically assessed progress towards EFA, based on the EFA Global Monitoring Report and regional EFA reports; discussed the last “big push” to accelerate efforts towards achieving EFA by 2015; and key steps in the EFA process up to 2015, in particular the preparation of national EFA2015 Reviews.
