The aim is to build the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and practice innovation and entrepreneurship across all sectors of the economy (private, public and social). The participants come from higher education and research and development (R&D) institutions.

"The idea is to create a group of professionals capable of supporting training in innovation and enterprise development in their respective institutions and in that way contribute to national economic development," says Anthony Maduekwe, programme specialist in the Science Sector at UNESCO's Regional Office in Dakar.

The training working is organized by UNESCO's Regional Office in Dakar (Senegal) and participants will use a tailored integrated tool-kit of resources that will provide them with tools to support innovation and entrepreneurship in innovative organizations.

Toolkit and hands-on exercises

This toolkit has been designed for the participants to work with during the hands-on training exercises and would also serve as a reference materials for them when they return to their places of work. Furthermore, a large collection of materials, including case studies, will be at the disposal of participants through websites developed by the facilitating expert and his team at the Grenoble University.
