Support to youth and social entrepreneurship and Culture of Peace in Africa

After a first edition of the mechanism « Tremplin » in September 2014 in Côte d’Ivoire, the second edition took place in the presence of over 200 participants in December 5, 2014 in Addis-Abeba (Ethiopia) at the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

The mechanism «TREMPLIN » was initiated by the Center for Long Term Strategic Studies (CEPS) and UNESCO aims at promoting private initiatives and social innovation, developing the spirit of entrepreneurship and to promote values among African youth living in Africa.

Due to the nature of its support mechanism "TREMPLIN", does not only to give the winner a financial endowment but they are also accompanied by a senior executive during one year in a specific area of their choice. The presentation of the TREMPLIN and the announcement of the winner were made in the October 31, 2013 at the 8th Forum of the UNESCO Youth. The specificity of the second edition of "TREMPLIN" in 2014 in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia was to reward two young people and celebrate their sense of initiative, their audacity and their social impact.
