Following a call for participation in a Photo Contest on the Power of Sport Values, launched on 19 November 2015, UNESCO is proud to announce the results. 5 winners and 10 runners–up have been selected from over 300 entries, submitted by photographers from 76 countries. Each selected photo showcases the potential of sport to promote positive values, transcend barriers and empower young people in their communities and beyond.

The photos of the 15 inspiring photographers will be exhibited at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and compiled in a Photo Book, alongside the photographer’s testimony, illustrating the transformative power of participating in sport.

The 5 contest winners will receive a DSLR Camera to be presented during a Special Event on Values Education through Sport on 29 January 2016. Winners and runners-up will also receive two hard copies of the Photo Book, one set of post-cards featuring the winning photos and a branded T-shirt.
