Celebration of Cultural Diversity Day in Nauru

Cultural Event held in Yeren to Celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development (21 May)

This year's celebration of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development in Nauru was held at the Kayser College in Yeren with the participation of some ten schools in the country.  The event consisted of a prize-awarding ceremony of the essay and poster competitions on the topic of Sustainable Living and Cultural Diversity, dances, singings, and performances with traditional dresses by Kiribati students on cultures of different countries with which Nauru has close relationships, and traditional canoe racing.  The event was attended by well over three hundreds students, teachers, and locals alike, contributing to the appreciation of the message of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.
