UNESCO Ramallah Office is celebrating the World Press Freedom Day in the West Bank and in Gaza

UNESCO Ramallah Office will celebrate of the World Press Freedom Day in the West Bank and Gaza, with events in Gaza and in Ramallah held within the framework of UNESCO’s Networks of Mediterranean Youth project (NET-MED Youth), funded by the European Union. The World Press Freedom Day 2015 in Palestine benefits from the co-financing of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
In cooperation with the Press House-Palestine, the event in Gaza will host a Photo Exhibition "Panorama Gaza", as part of the celebration of World Press Freedom Day in Gaza, which will also include several artistic and cultural performances. The event will take place on Monday 4 May 2015, 11.30am, at Roots Hotel, Gaza City.
The World Press Freedom Day will be also celebrated in Ramallah on Thursday 7 May 2015, 18.00pm, at Mahmoud Darwish Museum. The event will host a photo exhibition of photos featuring aspects of the Palestinian culture from young journalists/photographers from West Bank and Gaza, together with other artistic and cultural performances.
