Education for All and Shaping the Future Agenda for Education

© All Rights Reserved

UNESCO is currently engaged in several inter-related processes aimed at shaping the future development agenda. Reflections, debates and research are ongoing at global, regional or national levels to shape future agenda of education that is responsive to today’s challenges. Within the context of the GCC and Yemen, despite the progress made over the past decades in developing educational systems in Qatar and the GCC, results in terms of quality of learning outcomes are low when compared to other countries at similar income levels. UNESCO provides Member States with tools to conduct diagnosis that could be used to generate country and sub-country level qualitative and quantitative indicators to monitor progress in education. These indicators could be sued to establish a national and even sub-national baseline on the education goals and objectives, and establish benchmarks toward which the country could work and support the monitoring of progress.
