UNESCO

While literacy is emerging as a lifelong imperative, UNESCO will continue, in cooperation with its strong technical arm UNESCO institute for lifelong learning (UIL) and its strong technical teams and its worldwide network of professional experts to provide visionary and technical support to member states of the GCC and in particular, Yemen. Earmarked literacy empowerment activities are being designed for Yemen to help the country in its strive for meaningful economic and social development. Lifelong learning and sustainability will very much be of interest to GCC countries to shape future generation into innovative roles and effective participation in the overall development of their countries/societies.
