UNESCO and the Global Alliance on Media and Gender (GAMAG) call on all organizations working in the field of media, journalism, communication, and gender and media to join GAMAG.

For the members of GAMAG who have already registered, please note that the questionnaire was updated on 18 November 2015. Hence, we invite all members to provide supplementary information by filling in the new form. The information earlier entered was well recorded and will be kept. This form will be an important component of the upcoming GAMAG General Assembly and beyond.

If your organization is an media organization, NGO, CBO, association, network, training/academic institution, regulatory body (such as broadcasting commission) or media self-regulatory body, public or private entity, research institution, UN agency, funds or programme, national, regional and international development agency and your organization is involved in gender and media related activities or gender equality issues, whether online or off line, then GAMAG is relevant to you.

The Global Alliance on Media and Gender is a key output of the Global Forum on Media and Gender (GFMG) which took place from 2 to 4 December 2013 in Thailand, Bangkok. This forum was a pioneering global event that intends to address gender equality and women’s empowerment in and through the media. The Global Alliance is coordinating systematic follow-up to one of the critical areas of concern of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BDPA), "Women and the Media Diagnosis".

The success of the GAMAG is more than just about numbers. It is also about how we work together as partners with common goals. Join GAMAG and commit to participate so that we can be stronger. All organizations and individuals working on gender and media issues are invited to join the movement. Over 700 organizations and individuals have already joined.

To get involved and stand together for real change, join the Alliance. Please complete the brief questionnaire.
