Online Caribbean Action Plan for World Heritage 2014-2019

It is already available in the Portal of Culture of Latin America and the Caribbean the Caribbean Action Plan for World Heritage 2014-2019, adopted in Havana, Cuba, on 28 November 2014 by the Focal Points for World Heritage of the Member and Associated States and by representatives of Universities of that sub-region of the American continent.

The Plan outlines the work priorities for the next four years in conservation and management; preparation of the indicative lists and nominations to the World Heritage List; risk management; involvement of communities; sustainable tourism; capacity building and creation of alliances. It is undoubtedly an important document to promote sub-regional cooperation, to meet the challenges identified and to enhance the protection, conservation, management and promotion of the Caribbean cultural and natural heritage, a key sector for the sub-regional development.
