Youth and the Internet: Fighting Radicalization and Extremism

Camelia Nistor works as a coaching trainer in the anti-discrimination and anti-racism grass-root movement in Europe. As a delegate of UNITED for Intercultural Action network in the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe (2009-2012), she was one of the creators of the project “Young People Combating Hate Speech Online” – a project that stands for equality, dignity, human rights and diversity. It is a project against hate speech, racism and discrimination in their online expression.

Within this project, Council of Europe runs today “A campaign of young people for human Rights Online”, the No Hate Speech Movement which takes place in 40 member countries of the Council of Europe that has inspired countries outside of Europe (e.g. Mexico, Canada, Morocco) to start similar initiatives.
