Freedom of expression in countering online radicalization

Dr. Olunifesi Adekunle Suraj

Lagos State University (Nigeria)

Dr. Olunifesi Suraj is a digital activist, a social media consultant, and a Knowledge Management and ICT expert who has been at the vanguard of Internet freedom and pressure groups for 15 years. He is also an active member of the Global Knowledge Research Networks and KM4Dev professional group that spans more than 40 countries. After stints with various consultancy and IT firms, he became Head of Training in CWG Limited where he left to join Lagos State University School of Communication where he presently serves as the Postgraduate Program Coordinator. He is a Resource Consultant to many international and national organizations. Dr. Suraj holds a Master and Doctorate Degree in Information Science with a Postgraduate Degree in Communication from the University of Ibadan and University of Lagos, Nigeria respectively, with several international collaborations and publications to his credit. His intellectual contributions span the fields of Internet Governance, ICT Policies, Media and Information Literacy, Social Media, Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital.
