Laurent Bonelli is a university lecturer in Political Sciences at University of Paris Ouest Nanterre and a member of the Institute of Social Sciences of Politics (UMR 7220). He is co-editor in chief of the revue Cultures & Conflits and associate editor of International Political Sociology. He has in particular published La France a peur. Une histoire sociale de l’insécurité (France is afraid. A social history of insecurity) in 2008, has piloted together with Didier Bigo and Thomas Deltombe Au nom du 11 septembre. Les démocraties occidentales à l'épreuve de l'antiterrorisme (In the name of 9/11/ The occidental democracies under the challenge of antiterrorism) in 2008 and has piloted together with Willy Pelletier L'État démantelé. Enquête sur une révolution silencieuse (The dismantled state. Study of a silent revolution) in 2010. His current work is especially focused on the politics of combatting radicalization in France and in Europe.
