In the framework of the EDUCAIDS initiative, UNESCO’s activities on preventive education aim at strengthening knowledge and capacities on the prevention of the spread of HIV & AIDS in Afghanistan through the development of materials adapted to local context and training workshops.

As a result, the objective is to increase awareness among young people, in and out of school, by improving preventive education programmes.

A Teacher Training Manual as well as an HIV & AIDS Education Advocacy Toolkit have been developed in national languages, used for trainings and disseminated to officials, teacher training institutions and schools teachers.
