Intercultural Dialogue
The quest for a dialogue among civilizations, cultures and peoples is deeply entrenched in UNESCO’s constitution and its various programmes and resolutions. The promotion of dialogue in order to “build peace in the minds of men” is at the core of UNESCO’s mission.
UNESCO Moscow Office supports various measures aimed at promoting the principles of intercultural and interreligious dialogue in the cluster countries. The Office has initiated a number of international and regional consultative meetings with participation of parliamentarians and representatives of the governments of CIS countries, as well as experts in culture, education and religion with the aim to draw attention to the issues of intercultural and interreligious dialogue as a factor of social integration and stability and promote the development of national policies in this area.
