Small Island Developing States (SIDS)
Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are confronted with many challenges in making progress towards sustainable living and sustainable development. Addressing this challenge calls for meaningful collaboration between societal and organizational sectors between regions and between islands of different affiliations and between generations.
The UNESCO Apia Office is actively engaging in the preparations for the Third UN Conference on SIDS, which will take place in Apia, Samoa from 1 to 4 September 2014.
