UNESCO Supports the World’s Largest Lesson
UNESCO is supporting the launch of The World's Largest Lesson at The World Education Forum (WEF) 2015 in Incheon, Republic of Korea on 19-21 May.
The World's Largest Lesson is part of the major initiative ‘Project Everyone’, the brainchild of acclaimed film director and humanitarian Richard Curtis, which has the bold ambition of making the new sustainable development goals famous.

Project Everyone plans to make an historic and unprecedented effort to communicate the Global Goals, in a meaningful form this September, reaching 7 billion people in 7 days. This will only be possible by harnessing every communication channel and distribution network available, through partnerships with world leaders in education, tech, media, print and publishing, consumer brands, NGOs and CSOs.
Education will be at the heart of this activity and The ‘World’s Largest Lesson’ will be the cornerstone in permeating the education community. It will be the largest collaborative education project the world has ever seen. At its heart will be an empowering, universal message to children in the form of a short animated film in which he introduces the Goals. Schools across the globe will be asked to share this message in the week of the 27th September 2015.
In the lead up to the announcement of the new Sustainable Development Goals, UNESCO in collaboration with six co conveners, UNDP, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF, UN Women, and the World Bank,, will work with Ministers from around the world at The World Education Forum to build an education agenda to transform lives.
