Natural Sciences

The UNESCO Moscow Office promotes activities on environmental protection, including sustainable use of natural resources, and provides support for the basic and applied sciences.

The Office concentrates its interventions on fostering capacity-building, networking and international cooperation in the fields of water, the ecological and the earth sciences. It works to contribute to the development of the Man and Biosphere Programme (MAB) and the International Hydrological Programme (IHP), therefore it closely cooperates with their National Committees of the cluster countries.  It continually supports science, technology and innovation policies. In particular, activities are dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of capacity building in the basic and engineering sciences as the main foundation for sustainable development within the cluster.
