The World Heritage Centre is pleased to announce the Call for Participants for the World Heritage Volunteers 2015 and #Unite4Heritage common action.

This common action aims to encourage young people from the Arab States[1] countries to take part in one of ten selected World Heritage Volunteers Action Camps 2015, at locations around the world.

The aim of this action is to respond to the threat to destroy heritage and propagation of hatred with messages of unity, tolerance and solidarity through active involvement in World Heritage Volunteers youth action camps to carry out hands-on activities, gain basic skills in preventive conservation and preservation and work with communities in and around World Heritage sites. It aims also to show that diversity has always been and remains today a strength for all societies. To defend our common heritage and diversity today will build peace tomorrow.

The Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) is in charge of facilitating and coordinating the logistical and organization arrangements for this common action.
