‘Looking towards 2030: strengthening skills development for employment and a better future for all’

23-25 November 2015

Where are the jobs in Latin America? What are the skills needed for these jobs? How to generate a joint and strategic effort for Technical and Vocational Education Training? These and other topics will be addressed in Uruguay by the participants of the UNESCO Regional Forum on Technical and Vocational Education Training for Latin America “Looking towards 2030: strengthening the development of work skills for a better future for all”.

The Forum is convened by UNESCO, through its Regional Bureau of Education for Latin America and the Caribbean (Santiago, Chile), its Regional Bureau for Science for Latin America and the Caribbean (Montevideo, Uruguay), its Headquarters (Paris, France) and the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (Bonn, Germany).

The three day Forum will gather senior representatives of ministries and/or national authorities responsible for technical and vocational education and training (TVET), national training institutions, UNEVOC Centres, employers’ organizations, intergovernmental organizations, labour unions and the research community.
