Building capacity of Equatorial Guinea media workers

28-06-2007 (Libreville)
Building capacity of Equatorial Guinea media workers
UNESCO provided training to professionals from the Equatorial Guinea News Agency to enhance their professional skills.
The training workshop, which took place from 20 to 22 June 2007 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, was organized by UNESCO's Office in Libreville and the Equatorial Guinea Ministry of Information, Tourism and Culture.

The workshop aimed at providing the Equatorial Guinea News Agency’s professionals with theoretical, technical and practical skills necessary to operate more efficiently.

The training was a complement to a recent donation of computer equipment by UNESCO to the Agency and focused on:
  • history and role of the Agency;

  • information production life cycle;

  • dissemination of information at national and international levels;

  • structure and management of a news agency.
