Inception Meeting of the International Platform on Earthquake Early Warning Systems

The UNESCO International Platform on Earthquake Early Warning Systems (IP-EEWS) is a new initiative within UNESCO Global Disaster Risk Reduction agenda to create a space that enhances collaboration and knowledge sharing between the scientific community and between scientists and decision / policy makers in order to promote the development of earthquake early warning systems (EEWS) for earthquake-prone regions / countries.

The 1st Working Group Meeting of IP-EEWS will be held on 7-8 December 2015 at the UNESCO Headquarters, Paris.

On the 1st day (December 7), a technical session will be held in Room 1.002, (Fontenoy building).

On the 2nd day (December 8), the meeting will be held in Room XVI (Bonvin building) and it will include an information session with interested Permanent Delegations of UNESCO.
