Islands as Crossroads: Sustaining Cultural Diversity in Small Island Developing States

This book, published in February 2011 jointly by the Culture and Science sectors, is a compilation of the proceedings of the interregional SIDS experts meeting held in Seychelles in April 2007. The meeting, which brought together experts from Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Pacific, was organised as a follow-up to the Mauritius Declaration of 2005, and to provide a basis for a comprehensive understanding of the issues regarding cultural diversity as they pertain to SIDS with an inter-regional focus.
