Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti

La présente bande dessinée constitue une interprétation de certaines périodes de la vie de Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti (1900-1978) née à Abeokuta, dans l’Etat actuel d’Ogun, au Nigéria. En 1914, elle compta parmi les premières filles à rentrer à l’ « Abeokuta Grammar School », où elle enseigna par la suite. Engagée dans les principaux mouvements éducatifs anticoloniaux du Nigéria et de l’Afrique de l’Ouest, elle œuvra sans relâche pour améliorer l’accès des femmes à l’éducation et à la représentation politique.
