The Digital Photography Competition Crossing Viewpoints. Industrial Heritage in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean areas begins

RehabiMed is organizing the 5th Edition of the Digital Photography Competition CROSSING VIEWPOINTS, dedicated this time to the INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE. The European Year of Industrial and Technical Heritage 2015, the Regional Office for Culture in Latin America and the Caribbean, UNESCO Havana and DoCoMoMo Internacional are collaborating in this contest.

The contest is organized through Instagram and consists of two sections: the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Pictures published on Instagram should be sent with the hashtag #heritageMED or #heritageCARIB according to section in which the photography will be presented. All photos should include @RehabiMed.

Two prizes will be given, one for each section: 1 for the Mediterranean region and 1 for the Caribbean region. Winners will be invited to attend to the opening of the exhibition in Barcelona, Spain, and in Havana, Cuba, in December 2015.

All photographs published until 15th September 2015 will be accepted.

RehabiMed Association is an initiative that represents the ongoing experience of partnership between institutions and organizations in over 40 Euro-Mediterranean countries. It brings together a network of experts consolidated by continuing joint work between countries in the north and south of the Mediterranean, which extends its experience and knowledge to other regions of the world.

Today, there are over 400 members of RehabiMed Association: universities, government agencies, non-governmental organizations and above all individual experts in different fields of rehabilitation and urban regeneration or professionals who are interested in entering the sector. All specialize in the rehabilitation and restoration of heritage and the revitalization of historic centres.
