Joining Hands

UNESCO functions thanks to the synergy between diverse community actors. Established UNESCO networks form the core of these communities. Together, they give life to UNESCO's ideals and values around the world, at the local, national and international levels.

UNESCO Venice has a vast range of constituencies, partners and networks built over the years by UNESCO: national, regional and local authorities of Member States, National Commissions, UNESCO Chairs, category 2 centres, scientific communities, universities and other learning institutions, national committees of intergovernmental programmes and specialized networks, the general public as individuals or grouped in associations and clubs.
