Education Resources
UNESCO strongly believes that education is central to any programme targeted at removing doping from sport. Lasting prevention will be achieved through the education of athletes as well as the wider sporting community.
UNESCO is particularly interested in raising awareness among the athletes of tomorrow. It is important for young people to know about the harm doping does to both sport and the individuals concerned. Schools and sports clubs provide ideal learning environments for young people to learn about ‘fair play’ and teamwork and other positive values associated with sport.
