10th Meeting of the International Advisory Committee

The 10th Meeting of the International Advisory Committee (IAC) was held from 22 to 25 May 2011 in Manchester, United Kingdom.

The International Advisory Committee (IAC) is appointed by the Director-General of UNESCO to guide the planning and implementation of the Memory of the World Programme as a whole.
The main purpose of the meeting was to review the progress achieved by the Memory of the World Programme and make recommendations to the Director-General concerning the inscription of documentary heritage on the Memory of the World Register, the award of the UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World Prize as well as promoting the Programme.

The meeting was preceded by an orientation session for newcomers and the newly elected Bureau held its first session on 26 May.
