2nd Meeting of the International Advisory Committee

UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, France, 3-5 May 1995

The Second Meeting of the International Advisory Committee of the "Memory of the World" Programme was held from 3 to 5 May 1995 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

Ten members of the Committee took part in the meeting, which was also attended by 16 observers and representatives of international governmental and non-governmental organizations.

The purpose of the meeting was to guide the planning and implementation of the Programme. It also considered the further development of the framework for the Programme, in particular fund-raising. The meeting also discussed draft "General Guidelines to Safeguard Documentary Heritage".

The Chairman of the meeting was Jean-Pierre Wallot and the Rapporteur was George Boston.
