Research Centre on Women and Gender Issues in Kabul
As part of its programme for capacity-building for gender equality in post-conflict regions, UNESCO is working with the Gender Studies Institute at Kabul University to set up a new Women’s Research and Documentation Centre.
Its objective will be to enhance research-policy linkages on women’s rights and gender equality in Afghanistan through policy-oriented research which will be shared with policy-makers through policy briefs and dialogues, advocacy workshops and training activities.
This activity is being organised in partnership with Kabul University, and with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and other UN agencies present in Afghanistan.
