The General Conference, the governing body of UNESCO, which brings together all of the Organization’s 195 Member States, is meeting in Paris from 3 to 18 November to determine the direction of the Organization’s programmes and activities for the next two years and rule on questions of funding and governance.

The current  38th session of the General Conference also marks the 70th anniversary of the Organization, which is hosting on 16 and 17 November a Leader’s Forum with the participation of an unprecedented number of Heads of State and Government.
