Training for Women's Rights in Madagascar
UNESCO, with the financial support of the European Union, has launched an education and training programme for advancing women's rights in Madagascar.
Working with Madgascan universities and higher education institutions, UNESCO has developed three teaching modules on gender equality, which are now being taught to students across the country.
We have also developed a guide for the training of trainers, and are in the process of training a group of experts to train young men and women across the country on the prevention of gender-based violence, and the promotion of women's political participation.
A first training of trainers was held in Tamatave in December 2013.
Une première formation des formateurs a eu lieu à Tamatave en décembre 2013.
