Swedish launch of UNESCO’s Education for All Global Monitoring Report

Stockholm, Sweden, 5 February 2014

On Wednesday the 5th of February 2014, Unesco's Education for All Global Monitoring Report was launched in Sweden at a seminar arranged at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). Around 130 participants gathered to hear Catherine Jere, from the GMR team in Paris, present the main findings of the report. The presentation was followed by panel discussions on this year’s topic, namely Teaching and Learning, where issues like teacher status and learning measures where touched upon. A second part of the seminar continued with further discussion on consequences of the Millennium Development goals and the role of educational in future development goals. The seminar was also available for online live stream.

The seminar was arranged in cooperation between Svenska Unescorådet, The Swedish Teachers’ Union and SIDA.
