Early Childhood Care and Education: Seeds for the Future
Supported by UNESCO and the Global Campaign for Education, the event seeks to:

• emphasize the importance of enhanced collaboration and partnership for ECCE

• highlight the role and contribution of NGOs to the development and improvement of ECCE

• address the areas that UNESCO-affiliated NGOs are especially active in, namely; the creation of original, flexible and locally relevant ECCE provision that supports young children and their families; the improvement of quality of ECCE programmes and the training of administrators, teachers, and others working in ECCE programmes

The event is organized by the Working Group on Education for All (EFA) of the UNESCO-NGO Liaison Committee and is considered a contribution from the NGOs to the implementation of the Moscow Framework for Action and Cooperation, an action agenda adopted at the World Conference on ECCE (Moscow, September 2010).
