The Conference is aimed at accredited NGOs and open to scholars and interested institutions and associations. The main objectives of the Conference are to improve the contribution of NGOs to the implementation of the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, to strengthen local awareness for intangible cultural heritage, to foster contact between accredited NGOs and to share experiences.

Specific topics to be debated : the organization of the ICH-NGOs Forum, the relation between NGOs and other stakeholders of ICH and the function of NGOs in the transmission of ICH.

Previous to the venue, an online debate  will open the discussions to other interested people and organizations, in order to focus the in person Conference debates.

The Conference will be complemented with visits to some ICH elements, such as the Patum in Berga or the Castells, inscribed in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
