Partners
The success of the EFA movement lies in its wide-ranging partnerships bringing together key stakeholders in national governments, international and regional aid agencies, civil society and non-governmental organizations, to name a few.
Global action unites these partners either in initiatives which were established separately but whose aims dovetail with the EFA goals, or in arrangements designed specifically to address certain aspects of EFA.
The five multilateral institutions which organized the World Conference for Education for All in 1990 remain the key international stakeholders in the EFA movement: UNESCO, UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF and the World Bank.
Major EFA partnership mechanisms are:
Mechanisms involving international organizations
Mechanisms involving NGOs/civil society
Donor Partnerships (including donor countries)
Thematic Partnerships
International Decades
Public-Private Partnerships
