The theme of the Ninth E-9 Ministerial Review Meeting was ”Inclusive, Relevant Quality Education for All”. Jointly organized by the Government of India and UNESCO, the meeting brought together Ministers of Education and senior officials of the E-9 countries to review progress towards the Education for All (EFA) goals. They committed to an agenda for action in order to ensure relevance, equity and inclusion of education; accelerate progress towards EFA goals, and shape the post-2015 education agenda. In 2013-2014 the E-9 countries will strengthen their cooperation through joint activities and mutual exchange in a number of priority areas.

The Ninth Ministerial Meeting also marked the handover of E-9 chairmanship from Nigeria to India for the period 2013-2014. A concrete action plan on E-9 cooperation for quality education will be finalized in a technical meeting in June 2013. The next E-9 Ministerial Review Meeting will be hosted by Pakistan in late 2014.
