Sweden supports UNESCO’s field reform in Africa

On 21 November, Ms.Marie-Hélène Ahnborg, Deputy Permanent Delegate of Sweden to UNESCO and Mr Vincent Defourny, Director of the Division for Cooperation with Extrabudgetary Funding Sources, signed an agreement by which Sweden will provide a contribution of USD 113,000 to strengthen UNESCO’s Field Offices in Africa.

The objective of the project is to define and implement a comprehensive approach to improving external and internal knowledge management and specifically facilitating greater knowledge sharing among UNESCO’s Offices in Africa as well as with Headquarters and external partners. The project will also contibute an increased visibility of UNESCO’s programmes in Africa to the Member States and the public at large.
