International expert group meeting to advise on the strategy to prepare the curriculum

A first international expert group meeting took place in June 2008 to agree on a framework and design for a model teacher training curriculum on media and information literacy.

Experts in teacher training, curriculum development, media and information literacy from all regions of the world met to advice on the best strategy to develop the MIL curriculum.

As recommended by the experts, the preparation of the curriculum was divided into four distinct yet integrally related components, creating four working groups that prepared the first draft of the curriculum.
